We had first planned to stay home during the holidays, but it was way too flat for me.

So, I convinced everybody to visit at least one city, at least one day.
Accepted. The next morning, I found myself on the first train for Lyon. 6:00 AM.
I had never been to Lyon before. I am that kind of person who wants to see everything, to go everywhere, but in the end, I haven't seen that much of the world. It's good, I will have so many things to share with you.
Let me tell you that Lyon is beautiful. Awesome. Mediterranean.
Of course, we haven't seen that much in one day, but it was enough to fall in love with that city.
At first, we felt a bit lost. Small town, but yeah, still a town. And as tourists, our first stop was the Information Office.
Now in the Park Tête d'Or, so big, elegant. I confess, I took so many pictures!
I really want to let the pictures speak for me, but it would be annoying, right? All is about finding the right balance.

We have seen the rosary, the zoo (free, but not fair). We went for a walk, between the trees and enjoyed our last hours there.

During the afternoon, we visited the center, the old city. We followed a guide into the cathedral, heard about Lyon's story.
We have seen the tiny alleys, the Traboules (passage typically of Lyon through inner courtyards which allows to go of a street to another parallel road).
Nice activity to see things that people do not know and you do not see.

To end our day, we walked on the hill, until the Notre-Dame de Fourvière. There is a cable car, but 15 km were not enough for us, we went on foot. It was really worth it! Maybe we enjoyed the sight in a different way. In any case, the path was very cute.

The basilica is just awesome. From the mosaic wall to the ceiling frescoes, all is glowing, golden.
Then we went back down and hanged out in the streets.

We saw candies' stores, ate an ice cream (here is a place were you can eat vegan ice cream). The street artists, all the beautiful quotes on walls... Lyon is such a poetic city.

"You have no chance, catch it."
