Pimp up your salad - 5 easy ideas

I was lazy.

I am usually never lazy. Because I love cooking. Tastes, colors, smells. But well, sometimes I am so hungry that the only thing I want to do is make a salad and eat it. As soon as I can.

It is so easy to make a salad.

So tasty.

So good.

"Okay, it's a salad, we know it. Always the same thing."

Not really.

You have to know how to make a salad. Not that it is hard, you just have to be creative. A salad for me is not some lettuce and supermarket dressing. No.

So let's share our salad tips, let's add some originality, nutrients and taste.

Your salad is never gonne be bland again.

#1 : Tahina Dressing

Easy, cheap and soooo tasty! My favourite salad dressing ever. You just need :

- 2tsp of tahina (sesame cream)

. 2tbsp olive oil

- 2tbsp fresh pressed lemon juice

- some sal if you'd like so

Then you make your dressing. In a separate bowl or directly in your salad bowl. Mix all the ingredients together, add some water if the tahina is firm and season as you like. Add herbs and spices you like.

#2 : Seeds and nuts

Seeds are life! almonds, flax, sesame, pumpkin of sunflower seeds. Chia seeds. Peanuts, walnuts, all sorts of nuts.

and it is healthy. Nuts and seeds add consistency to your salad, fibers, proteins and good fats.

Flax seeds are best grounded, so that you can absorb all the good stuff in them. If not, they will still help with your digestion, but will come out as they came in, if you see what I mean...

#3 : Change your base

Why always lettuce? You can use any green you like, as arugula, spinach, kale or any salad. There are plenty! Many of them are more nutrient than lettuce and much more original!

Or a lentil, rice, quinoa salad!

Pick any cereal or bean you like. You can cook them and store them in the fridge for a quick and easy salad. It will make your salad much more satisfying.

#4 : Fruit and veggies

Apples, raspberries. Or mango. Or pear. Sweet and salty, if you like it. I had never thought about it before.

One thing to keep in mind : fruit and cooked food is not a good combination. You should make your salad consistent in another way, by adding nuts, avocado, or doubling the size of your plate...!

Also add plenty of fresh veggies to your salad, such as tomato, carrots, fennel, cucumber, etc... Again, it will give it more taste, more nutrients and make it special throughout the seasons.

#5 : Pesto

Instead of a dressing, just put pesto on your salad. Delicious!

You will need :

-Half a zucchini, steamed

-Basil

-Vegan parmesan, pine nuts or cashews

-Garlic if you wish

-Olive oil
