I don't own much when it comes to skin care, make-up and beauty products. I try to be as sustainable as possible when it comes to my beauty routine and try to avoid useless products, waste and chemicals.
Here is pretty much everything I have in my bathroom.
Natural tooth paste and bamboo tooth brush, floss
Hair brush and hair bands
Sugar wax and epilady
Shampoo, bar soap and a bit of left conditioner
Baking soda
Almond oil
Mascara and eyelash curler (I have some moke makeup that I don't really use), reusable cotton
Some jewelry
Nail care kit
Now, I want to tell you more about my favourites.

I have been using bar soap for over one year now, and I can only see benefits to it. I started because I had skin reactions to liquid soap, even the natural ones. Bar soap is way cheaper and long lasting than liquid soap - I must use two bars a year, I think. Then, it produces less or no waste - you can buy your soap bars at the market with no wrapping or at least no plastic bottle. It is easy to travel with, you just need a little box or bag, and there you go.
The only inconvenient is that it does not work as a shampoo (at least for me), even the shampoo soap bars.
Then I use baking soda, for pretty much everything. Baking soda is my best friend. It works perfectly as a deodorant - actually better than any deo I have ever tested. I brush my teeth with it sometimes to whiten them, take a tiny bit when I have stomach ache. The thing you should try is use it as a deo. It is awesome.

This is the first time I use a bamboo toothbrush, and I don't see any difference with a plastic one, except that this one is compostable (I just need to remove the bristles).
You can find multiple brands on the internet, or even buy them in some stores. To give you an idea of the price, the brand I chose (they come from Europe) has a one-year pack of four toothbrushes for 17.95€ (which makes 4.50€ each). It is still a bit more expensive than a regular toothbrush, but I thought it was worth it.

As weird as it can seem, I have no body lotion or cream at all. Just as for the soap bars, I first made the transition to vegetable oil because of my skin allergies. I personally use almond oil, but coconut oil, argan oil or karite work as well. I have been using it for over two years now, and this is the first winter I use it on my face. I have not had any problem with it, and I can tell it is cold here!

My last favourite is my reusable makeup pad. I hardly ever wear makeup, but when I do, I don't want to use a disposable cotton round that will go straight in the garbage. These are perfect, you get them in pack and they last forever. Just wash and reuse them.
