My Aminoacids-Breakfast | The Budwig-Cream

She was an awesome woman. She found a diet that could prevent illnesses. Make you feel better. Good.

She was Russian, she lived in Switzerland, she was Kousmine.


Today I will shar with the best breakfast recipe ever (I hope). I was advised to eat it by my nutritionist. I like it because it is so yummy and healthy. I told you about the Kousmine-Cream in my advice post about veganism, when writing about aminoacids. Aminoacids are very (very) important for your body.

"A large proportion of our cells, muscles and tissue is made up of amino acids, meaning they carry out many important bodily functions, such as giving cells their structure. They also play a key role in the transport and the storage of nutrients. Amino acids have an influence on the function of organs, glands, tendons and arteries. They are furthermore essential for healing wounds and repairing tissue, especially in the muscles, bones, skin and hair as well as for the removal of all kinds of waste deposits produced in connection with the metabolism."

So yeah, I believe in it, and it is just delicious, so....

I have been searching for information about Kousmine, the diet she found and Kousmine-Cream recipes on the Internet. as she worked and lived in Switzerland, most of the recipes were in French, so I thought it could be a good idea to share my own recipe with you.

The concept is very easy. In a piece of meat, you have all the aminoacids you need. But we don't want to eat meat.

Because it is unfair.

Because it contains lots of bad fats and other substances.

Because it can contain antibiotics.

Because it is so polluting.

Because it is expensive.

As a vegan, but also as a human being, it is very important to get all the aminoacids you need. and what if you could get them all in one meal, and do not have to care about it for the rest of the day?

The Kousmine-Cream Recipe

You need to combine :

Proteins : such as soy yoghurt or soy flakes

Cereals : such as oat or oatmilk

Fruit : I use one banana, or an apple, plus raspberries or other frozen berries

Fat : one teaspoon of vegetable oil and 5-10 almonds, hazelnuts or cashews

You can mix the ingredients as you like. Here is how I do:

I crush the banana and mix it with the soy yoghurt or oat milk (it depends on my fridge) and add the oil. You can choose if you want to get your proteins from soy flakes or soy milk, and same for the carbs. I personally prefer the yoghurt and oat version. The banana crushed with the yoghurt is so creamy and delicious! Sometimes I replace the banana with a rasped apple.

Then I add the other fruits, the sliced apple, the berries or whatever I have.

I add the nuts, the oat or soy flakes.

And that's it. You can vary by using some homemade granola or adding seeds to your cream.
